The Edwardian era was punctuated by wealth and status, and there was no greater symbol of this than the clothes one wore. See flowing, Edwardian gowns and accessories, many featuring hand and machine made lace at the Cavalcade of Fashion display. Watch demonstrations of tape lace – a popular technique of the time. See and hear how Edwardian women lived lives of luxury and how lace was made for the fashion of this period. The Cavalcade of Fashion custodians have been sharing Australia’s social and fashion history with the community for 50 years. Their collection dates back to the 1700s; Find out more at the fair.
