Julie Bashore, USA Presented by iBake Australia Master Confectioner and Winner of Ultimate Cake Off Season 2, Julie is a native of England with an award-winning, 30-year background in culinary and confectionery arts. Julie studied at Le Cordon Bleu in Rhodesia and has worked extensively throughout the United States, written numerous magazine articles and founded The House of Clarendon in Lancaster PA, a bakery specialising in customdesigned rolled fondant wedding and special occasion cakes using traditional, contemporary and lovingly funky designs. Julie will share her secrets of success taking these artistic skills to a professional level. See these daily demonstrations from 9am to 5pm: • Basic Rolled Fondant Techniques – Learn to cover a cake, make double sided swags, drapes and bows, lace and frills, two tone embossing, new techniques in brush embroidery and mandala quilting. • Pulled Isomalt Sugar Flowers and Striped Bows – Learn how to cook Isomalt, create a variety of glass-like decorations and create a beautiful arrangement of pulled Isomalt sugar flowers with colourful bows.
